Lease agreement signed for SPO’s Marine Training Centre at 1 Loyang Way 4

On January 15th 2007, Swire Pacific Offshore put in motion the establishment of a multipurpose marine training facility at Loyang in Singapore, with the signing of a lease agreement for the site. The property’s address is 1 Loyang Way 4, at the junction of Loyang Way and Loyang Way 4, off Loyang Avenue. Located very close to Changi International Airport, the site will house a marine training centre, the company’s central warehouse as well as a backup / disaster recovery facility for SPO’s IT infrastructure.

The site, which was previously a factory (pictured above) consists of 1 main level on the ground storey, ancillary office space on the first floor and 4 smaller levels above, contained inside a tower space. The individual facilities to be contained in the site are scheduled to become operational in stages, the first of which is the establishment of the new warehouse on location - this stage is well on its way to completion with the re-location in January of all assets housed in the previous warehouse at SOPS in the same vicinity.
