Pacific Assegai Arrives in Qatar
January 2007

On 29th November 2006, Swire Pacific Offshore introduced its newest vessel, Pacific Assegai, to members of Qatar’s oil and gas industry. This newbuild vessel is the second of four UT755L design Platform Supply Vessels commissioned by Swire Pacific Offshore.

Pacific Assegai is on long term charter in Qatar.  She was named in Singapore earlier in the month; however, as the largest dedicated PSV in the Arabian Gulf her arrival into Ras Laffan port commanded great interest. The event was a great success with members from all sectors of the oil and gas industry coming onboard and enjoying the festivities. Equipped with DP1, FiFi1 and a massive 680 square metres of clear deck space the vessel will provide the charterer with excellent all weather supply and safety support.

Pacific Assegai is pictured bow-to-bow with Swire Pacific Offshore’s Pacific Dart, a slightly smaller vessel and a long established member of Qatar’s offshore oil and gas industry.
